(Edges)

Edge Detection LAB

In 3D Gugle you have 10 different methods for the Edge detention.

3D Gugle is the sole owner of some algorithms of edge. These algorithms are: "Edge area", "Edge Sharpen", "Edge Xor".

All the edge methods are also formidable tools for creating graphics effects.
The effects are also created by combining two or more images.

Remember that 3D Gugle offers some rapid tools to combine images, such as alpha blending, mathematical operations on the graphic memory, application of transparencies and "Combine Lab".

To activate the "Edges LAB" from the menu: "Image", select "Edge".

The scroll-bar "Edge level = n" changes the sensitivity of the edge detection.

Selecting "Pre-blur
" applies a blur filter to the original image prior to the application of the edge algorithm.
Using this option the edges are more visible and the noise decreases.

Original Edge Pre-blur

To change the colours of the points and the background click on the coloured disk.

To swap the colour’s point-background use the "Swap colours" button.

The scroll-bar "Light direction =n" changes the light direction.

Original Front Back

On selecting "Contours" the edges are drawn on the original image using the original colours.

When "Contours" is selected the scroll-bar "Brightness" becomes available to change the image contours’ contrast.

Original Light Dark

The edge is also a formidable method to analyse stereo images and the 2D to 3D conversion

"Edge Area"
This algorithm generate Edge in enclosed areas.

"Edge Xor"
This algorithm detects the area damaged by jpeg compression
