(Save/Resize Batch)

In this laboratory you can make graphics transformations, adjust files and manage privacy.

The basic operations possible in this laboratory are:
    1) transform images of any type into frames to create a movie.
    2) resize and/or rotate a group of images to a preset size with or without a coloured frame.
    3) transform a group of images from one format into another format
    4) create thumbnails for the web
    5) Encrypt/Decrypt images and any type of files.
    6) Effectively delete files with the "TRUE Delete" function.

To activate this LAB from the menu "Movie", select "Save/Resize Batch"

"Load Images/Frames/Files"
This button opens a dialogue from which it is possible to select a series of images or frames.
The dialogue operates with multiple-selection enabling you to open many files contemporaneously.
The method used for the multi-selection is the same one used in Windows.
The names of the selected files are recopied in the list-box beneath the button.

"Destination Dir"
This button opens a dialogue box to choose the destination directory.
The selected directory appears in the text-box beneath the button.

"Frames o Images"
These two buttons of selection serve determine what method will be used for saving the transformed files.
On selecting "
Frames
" the images will be saved as "Frames" following the progressive letter and numbering method used by 3D Gugle.

The section "Frame" can also be used for reversing the order of frame enumeration.
To reverse select the box "
Inverted order"
The inverted Frames are used to create a reverse-sequence of frames for continuous cycling of animations.
To add the inverted sequence to the normal sequence, use the Lab of Frames Utility in the section "Add Frames".

On selecting "Images" the images will be saved with the same name of original but with the selected format.
On selecting "Images" a menu to choose the save format becomes visible.

For further information on the 3D Gugle image formats see here Image Format.

To use the encrypted formats "*.crp" and "*.crm" a password is required. See Password

The format "*.crm" is only for playing by "Security Media Player".

Select "Thumbnail" and it is possible to transform a series of images in the thumbnail size normally used in web pages.
To set the dimensions and the type of thumbnail use the menu "File/Preference" "Set Thumbnail Size"

Selecting "Frame" or "Image" enables the selections of "Resize" and "Rotate"

To use "Resize" and "Rotate" first select the appropriate check-box.

"Resize" has two options, "
Proportional" and "Rectangle
".
On selection of "proportional" the image is expanded to fill the rectangle determined by the values of "Pixel X" (width) and "Pixel Y" (Height) and its proportions are maintained in the largest possible rectangular size.
The measure of first reference is that inserted in X.
In the example below the resize is "Proportional".

If the option "Proportional" is not selected the image will be distorted to fill completely the area of the rectangle imposed by the values of X and Y.
The example below shows the resize is not "Proportional".

On selecting "Proportional" the option "Rectangle" and a button "Back-Colour" to choose the back-colour become visible.
On selecting "Rectangle" the image is widened proportionately but the surplus part imposed by the values of X and Y is filled with the selected colour.

An example with green for back-colour.

"Pixel X o Pixel Y"
These two boxes in grey colour are used to insert, with the keyboard, the dimensions in pixels of the image sides.
The whole series of images will be reorganized to these values.

Attention:
If the text becomes
red
it means that the image doesn't have sides with correct dimensions for creating an AVI file.
The sides of the images to be used for AVI movies have to be multiples of the number 8.

"Interpolation"
"
None" doesn't use any interpolation and this is recommended for images with geometric sketches, lines or writing.
"
Bilinear" uses a method that softens and is used for images with many defects or those that have suffered too much Jpeg compression.
"
Bicubic HQ
" the top of the resizing algorithms works with great quality and you can be used in any occasion.

To make experimentations and researches in visual perception or for the "Pulfrich" movies, 3D Gugle has added some specific functions in the movie laboratory (AVI from Frames) for movie creation. In this LAB it is possible to plan a wide range of frame rate speeds.

With this laboratory, for instance, it is possible to make a presentation movie from your images.

The films of presentation, composed using images or texts, generally result in a small file of small dimensions suitable for ordinary use and for the web.
To add a sound use the specific function of "AVI from frames".

Remember also that in 3D Gugle a Player is available which is able to operate with very high speed and with the ability to modify the speed precisely.

Encrypt, Decrypt

Selecting "Encrypt" it is possible to encrypt and save a series of any type of file.
The encrypted files are saved with the same name but with extension "*.
enf".
On selecting "
Decrypt
" the encrypted file is restored with the original name and extension in the selected folder.

Attention:
To use this functionality it is essential to insert a password.
For the insertion and management of the password, from the menu "File", select "Preference" and then "
Set image file type".
In the dialogue to manage the File type select the green “Crypt Password” button and a password input box becomes available and you have also a local help with the instructions.

The same password is used to read/save the image encrypted with the extension *.crp" and *.crm".
