Jpeg Analysis Lab with Send Email control

In "3D Gugle" you’ll find different graphic formats for saving the images, formats that will be useful for displaying on the internet and other formats useful for the maintenance of the images in your own private files.

For more detailed information regarding the graphics format of 3D Gugle click here: Info

"3D Gugle" offers three formats for the displaying on internet: jpg, gif and png.

To put a three-dimensional image on internet is not a simple thing because besides preserving the quality it is also  necessary that the dimensions of the file are sufficiently constrained.

“3D Gugle” uses an owner jpeg algorithm, appropriate for three-dimensional, medical and scientific images, which gives superior results for the file dimensions and for colour preservation.

File dim: 27.133 File dim: 34.522 File dim: 35.013
All the colours are altered, red is darker, stains and lines around the figures.

To activate the Jpeg LAB select in the menu file: "Preference" and then "Set jpeg Compression".

On moving the compression scrollbar the image displayed will change immediately, allowing you to see the true effect of the compression.

To evaluate the difference use in sequence the button "Cls" and the button "Test". With "Cls" you can see the original image and with "Test" you can see the compressed image.

In 3D Gugle you have two different methods to compress the jpeg images.

"HQ" is the 3D Gugle owner’s algorithm and it is recommended and valid on all occasions because it excellently reproduces the colours and the resultant files have constrained dimensions.
"HQ" without selection is used for the ordinary images. It produces a file of small dimension but this method is not appropriate for stereo images.

With the "Delta" button you can analyse in detail the effect of the compression on the whole image or on the single RGB colours.

To select the colour that you want to analyse, use the "Option" menu of the "Delta" window.

The "Set" button settles the jpeg value as standard, and this value will appear in the "Save dialogue" when the jpeg format is selected.

With the button “EMail” you can send the displayed image directly as an e-mail.

In the new window that will appear you write the text and send it directly using the button "Send".

In the "From" box you have to write your e-mail address.

WDP Analysis Lab with Send Email control

To activate the WDP LAB select in the menu file: "Preference" and then "Set WDP Compression".

The operative principle and the controls dialogue are identical to those of Jpeg Analysis described in this same page.

For more detailed information regarding the graphics format of 3D Gugle click here: Info

The main difference with the Jpeg compression is that:

  WDP JPEG
Normal compression value  50-70  70-90
Lossless 99-100 not
High Quality "ON" sub 4:4:4 sub 4:4:4

For stereo images is strongly recommended to set "ON" the High Quality option.

Colours Shift selection

With 3D Gugle it is possible to create the anaglyphs with all the possible combinations of the colours. (Red-Cyan, Blue-Yellow, Green-Magenta)

To select the type of colour from the menu: "File" select "Preference" and then "Set Anaglyph Colours".

The setting in “Preference” is firmly memorized and used in any LABs that work with anaglyphs.
The colour setting can be changed at any time.

If in "Direct Anaglyph Lab" you save the project with "Save Work", the colour setting information will be saved in the same file.
If you open this project file and the 3D Gugle anaglyph colour setting is different, the setting is automatically changed to the setting information of this project.

Activate Undo/Redo Functions

Selecting this option activates the functions of Undo/Redo.

The setting is memorised and once set it is available to every call of 3D Gugle.

If the functions of Undo/Redo are not necessary it is worthwhile to disable them.

The process of 3D Gugle Undo/Redo functions

The "Undo" function used in many graphics software programs requires an enormous amount of memory and this memory is freed only after closing the applications.

The functions Redo/Undo of 3D Gugle are not limited to a set number, do not require the use of RAM and do not decrease computer speed/performance

On opening a window of type "New Window" (menu "View\New Window" or using the button "Clone" normally present in the window dialogue) the screen image is recopied in the local memory of the "New Window" device.
The window has its own menu "Edit\Copy" to transfer the local memory to the Window’s clipboard.

The In/Out process of the file is managed from 3D Gugle.
For each new function applied in the image using the buttons. "OK" which is present in the various controls dialogues, the Undo memory is increased by one unit.
To recall and to move in the Undo/Redo memory you can use the keys or the menu "Edit".

The Undo memory is cleared and a new cycle restarted when "File/Open/image...." or "Edit/Paste...." is used.

For the operation of the alternative memory see "Save/Recall/Free Memory".

The management of Undo can be made in two ways, with the "Edit" menu or using the keys function from: Shift + F2 to Shift + F4.

The functions are the followings:
<< Undo FIRST from the menu "Edit" or Shift+F2 recall the first memory of Undo: in other words the original image.
>> Redo LAST from the menu "Edit" or Shift+F5 recall the last memory of Undo, that is the last performed work.
<< Undo from the menu "Edit" or Shift+F3 recall preceding memory.
>> Redo from the menu "Edit" or Shift+F4 recall the following memory.

Save Image Thumbnail Function

This function serves for quickly creating and to save a miniature of the main image.
To save a miniature select from the menu "File" "Save Thumbnail"

The format to save (jpeg or gif) and the size of the miniature are memorized in the "preference memory".

To change the save setting from the menu "File" select "Preference" and then "Set Thumbnail Size"

To make a change yuo use the scroll bars and then you press the button "Set"

Activate Box auto XOR

When this option is activated the Images or the Layers inserted with "Open Add", "Paste Add", "Open Add Layer", "Paste Add Layer" are automatically visible calculating the XOR with the leading image .

Pressing "Enter" or "OK" in the context menu of the Box excludes the XOR and the final image is shown as normal.

The function is essential to make a reference to center the images or the Layers added in a determined position.

Generally it is used as reference as a known and visible point of an image,

The function "Auto XOR" allows you to see the reference also when another image is overlapped on the known point.

If the image doesn't have any natural visual reference it is possible to draw a point of reference with the "Paint" LAB.

In the example below the reference point has been drawn in the Layer that is set under the overlapped angel.

The setting of this option is not memorized, so when you start 3D Gugle again this option would be disabled
