(Write)

In this lab you can create and apply text to image.

To activate the "Write" Lab from the menu Image, select "Special Functions" and then "Write".

In the left list box you have a list of the valid fonts.
If you click on the font name, immediately your text changes to the newly selected font.

To rapidly change the fonts you can use the Up/Down "Arrow keys"

The text is composed of two colours: the text colour and the background colour.

To change the colours you first select one of the check buttons: "
Text" or "Back" and then you click with the mouse in the sphere of the colours.
Selecting "Text" changes the text colour, selecting "Back" you changes the background colour.

You have also three special colours: pure white, pure black and transparent colour.
To select these colours you click in the labels under the colours sphere.

To change the dimension (Size) or the rotation angle (Angle) use the spinbuttons of the corresponding input boxes.

To move the text in the image you simply drag the text with the mouse.

In Write Lab you can insert ten different texts and each text can have a different style and colours.

To add a new text you press the button "
Add Text"

To modify the text, the style or to delete, first you select the text with the mouse and then you press the button "Delete" or you make the change that you like.
The button "Set change" sets the new text that is written in the text input box.

When you move a text with the mouse, the selected text comes to the front possibly covering the previous text.
To change the visual level of the text you first click on the text and then you click with the right mouse button.
In the context menu that appears you select the preferred action.

"Bring To Front" brings the selected text to the front
"Send To Back" sends the selected text back a level
"Delete Selected Text" deletes the selected text

To create a stereoscopic text in a side by side image for cross or parallel viewing you simply have to repeat the text twice, once to the left and once to the right.
My moving with the mouse one of the two texts you can change the perspective vision.

For other information on creating stereo or anaglyph text see the sections "Procedures\Stereoscopic Text" in the 3D Gugle User's Guide and "Layers from Text"

Note:
If you use the transparency effect in many overlapped texts, the transparency preview doesn't show the effect but when you press the "OK" button the final image will contain the transparencies.
